Pupils and staff at Lostock Hall Primary school have been busy birdwatching this month as part of the RSPB’s Big Schools’ Birdwatch. The children have made different types of feeders, both at home and in after school club, to hang around the school grounds. The school are particularly grateful to Woodford Park Garden centre for their generous donation of bird feed and feeders.

So far an amazing array of birds have been seen. These include magpies, robins, blue tits, wood pigeons, gulls, blackbirds, sparrows, crows, great tits, gold crests, wagtails and of course the resident Bird Estate peacock!
