The National Trust have provided us with the following information regarding projects at Lyme.

Proposals are now live which outline vital work planned at Lyme over the course of the next few years. This is the first step in a long-term plan to upgrade facilities and infrastructure which will make the site and neighbouring communities more resilient to extreme weather events. The first stage proposes to move the existing car park and return the area to rich grassland habitat which will restore the historic setting of the house.

Future plans include looking at efficiencies at the admissions hut to reduce congestion on the A6, as well as more sustainable ways to visit Lyme. Please send any questions to us at Lymeprojects@nationaltrust.org.uk”
