The Remembrance Day Parade and Service is on Sunday 12th November.  The parade, led by the Vernon Building Society Poynton Brass Band, will leave the Civic Centre Car Park alongside Waitrose at 9.35am sharp, followed by the service and Act of Remembrance at St George’s Church, starting at 10am.  There will also be a service for all ages in the Church Hall at 10am to which all are invited. Wreaths and poppies will be placed on and around the war memorial immediately following the church service and two minutes silence.  Everyone is very welcome to come along to what is always a very dignified, moving and special occasion for our community.  Afterwards the British Legion is kindly offering refreshments at its Club House on George’s Road West.

For all colour and wreath bearers there will be a rehearsal at St George’s Church from 7pm to 8pm on Wednesday 8th November.  Any queries to the Town Clerk, 01625 872238, or call in at the Civic Hall.
