Cheshire East are currently holding a consultation on introducing a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) to help tackle dog fouling. This would allow fixed penalty notices of £100 to be handed out to the owners of offending dogs. The consultation will end at 12 noon on Tuesday 10 October 2017. While the large majority of owners do clean up after their dogs, a minority still fail to do so.
