The Poynton-with-Worth Alms Houses were built in 1854. They are unfurnished dwellings provided for elderly residents of limited means who are capable of living independently. They are managed by a Board of Trustees as a charitable Trust.

A vacancy has arisen at No 3 Fountains Close, adjacent to St George’s Church, Poynton.

The accommodation is rent free, residents pay a weekly maintenance charge of £73-00 towards the costs (reviewed annually). Residents are responsible for their own fuel and telephone charges along with Council Tax if appropriate.

Applications are invited from people who have reached state pension age, are in receipt of pension credit and have lived in the Poynton-with-Worth area for not less than 3 years.
