Recently the Town Council has expressed concerns over the length of time Cheshire East are taking to determine planning applications. In response Cheshire East have stated that the planning service is facing unprecedented challenges and a backlog of work arising throughout the pandemic, with an increased volume of applications submitted during a time of constraints in being able to process them as efficiently compared to normal working conditions.
