This year’s Christmas Fest will take place on Tuesday 5th December, between the usual times of 7pm to 9pm. Park Lane will be traffic free for the duration, and the Fest, now in its 11th year, will as always be a seasonal community event for all the family. Poynton Town Council are once again the principal sponsors, with contributions also sought from local businesses. There will be a dazzling firework display at 8pm, and live entertainment, street performers, community carol singing, and many local charities and other stallholders will be present.
Many Park Lane retailers will have late night opening, and there will be BBQs and the usual wide choice of festive food and drink. Poynton Round Table will be bringing Father Christmas, and the popular cups and saucers children’s roundabout will be in the Farmers Arms car park. All that’s needed now is a fine evening and the usual capacity crowd to get into the spirit of Christmas, so get the date in your diaries – 5th December – and we’ll see you there!
