Poynton’s local Golf Club is redeveloping its premises on Middlewood Road after being awarded £75,000 in a highly competitive round of the Sport England ‘Inspired Facilities’ Programme.
The Club is creating a new meeting room and modernising the gentlemen’s locker room facilities, to complete the Club’s improvement programme.
The successful application met Sport England’s criteria and highlighted both the role of the Club in the local community and the plans to offer affordable golf packages to players of all ages.
The new facilities will enhance the Golf Club’s ability to support local residents, Clubs, Societies and Businesses to host golf events, meetings, special events or small conferences. The room can accommodate up to 24 guests for meetings and up to 50 theatre style.
The new Meeting Room is a sparkling addition to the Club’s popular room options available to members and the public for parties, birthdays, anniversaries, christenings, wakes or weddings.
The quiet location, the golf course, the large car park and the new facilities combine to make this a perfect venue with wonderful views across the course toward the Cheshire Plain, especially from the sunny south-facing patio.
The experienced catering team provides excellent service and delicious food from menus on the day, or tailored to your own choice for functions.
Our local MP and invited guests will attend the formal opening on 21st April.
