We have taken three reports of attempt burglaries and one report of burglary that have occurred in the early hours of Wednesday 29th June. We believe that all four incidents are linked to a group of four people believed to be the Offenders captured on CCTV in these areas. We suspect that these Offenders were attempting to gain entry to these properties in a bid to steal the occupants vehicles.

Graymarsh Drive – Between 02:30-03:00hrs damage has been caused to a rear door of a property. No entry was gained. IML-1304759

Vernon Road – Around 3am the locks were snapped on a rear patio door. The Offenders were disturbed, no entry gained. IML-1304621

Dickens Lane – Around 4am the locks were snapped on a rear door. Four Offenders in dark clothing were seen garden hopping away from the address after they were disturbed by the home owner. No entry was gained to the property. IML-1304645

Coppice Road – Between 04:30-05:00hrs entry has been gained to a property by unknown means and the occupants car keys were stolen along with the vehicle from their driveway. IML-1304692

We strongly advise homeowners to ensure that their properties are fitted with anti-snap locks on all their doors and that doors and windows are locked and secured before retiring to bed. To deter thieves from attempting to steal your vehicle please consider purchasing a steering lock.

We encourage anyone who witnesses suspicious activity in their area to contact us on 999 at the time. Your call may just stop a crime from happening or help capture those involved.
