On Wednesday the 17th, with support from Holland Court and many local businesses, CCSO Louise organised a Time for a Cuppa event, selling cakes, raffle tickets and a ‘Name the Monkey’ stall to raise funds to support Dementia UK’s Admiral Nurse scheme. With generous donations from the community, over £723.55 was raised—over £300 more than last year’s total! We are very proud of Louise for this fantastic achievement.

On Friday 19th, a free dementia friendly concert was organised with great success at Poynton Civic Hall. The event was a sell out, with a beautiful performance from dementia specialist and soprano Katy Allan. Everybody was encouraged to sing along (and gladly did so) with lashings of tea and cake to enjoy too. The event was a joint effort between Poynton Town Council, Poynton Golden Memories and Bollington, Disley, Poynton Dementia Steering Group, with funding from North East Cheshire Community Partnership.
