Abode Property Development visited Lower Park Primary School to plant over 200 trees. Pupils, staff, school governors and representatives of Abode planted the saplings to create wildlife habitats and encourage biodiversity. The trees planted were native British species, grown in the UK and include Aspen, Crab Apple, Dog Rose, Elder, Goat Willow, Rowan, Oak and Wild Cherry. The children gained hands-on experience of how trees are planted and learned how important trees are to the world in which we live.

Amelia Lomas, the headteacher of Lower Park Primary school said: “We would like to thank Abode and Tree Appeal for making today possible. The children, staff and governors really enjoyed being involved with the planting that will result in an increase in biodiversity in our school grounds. Lower Park is committed to supporting our children to develop as responsible young adults who will play their part in developing a more sustainable future’’.

Abode partnered with Tree Appeal who organises these events with environmentally responsible companies across the UK. Abode wanted to show their commitment by contributing to local environmental education and fulfilling their aim of reducing their impact on the natural world. Jason Rodgers, Director of Abode Property Development said: ‘’We really enjoyed planting the trees and hope the children will benefit from them well into the future. With the help of the Tree Appeal we have managed to fulfil our 2022 pledge and enjoyed a great day out within the community’’.
