The Hollies Pre-School is a committee run charitable organisation. All committee members are volunteers, and the pre-school has been running for forty years – starting as a small group in a scout hut, before the move to its current premises on Hazelbadge Road eight years ago. The pre-school, which is open five days a week, offers a number of different clubs for children, and further information about those sessions can be found here: http://www.theholliespreschool.co.uk

The Hollies preschool has been fundraising for a new outdoor play area as the old play surface was becoming increasingly unsafe for the children.  Work took place over the Easter holidays so the children have been able to enjoy their new play area over the past few weeks.  The committee, staff, children and parents have all worked extremely hard to help raise the money to finance this project, and we continue to do so.

They have held fundraising balls, sponsored toddles, staff sponsored runs and the children have designed their own Christmas cards.  They have also been supported by the local Round Table, Ladies Circle and Rotary groups.

The new play area was formally opened by David Rutley, MP for Macclesfield at a ceremony on 30th June, which was also attended by Cllr Sandra Horsman, the former Mayor of Poynton.
