Councillor Jos Saunders is concerned that Cheshire East Council is planning to review local bus services. The P1 and other routes require a subsidy from the Council Tax, and so are regularly reconsidered. Cheshire East has hired a specialist company to do passenger surveys on local bus routes. They will be asking a few questions to find out how bus services are used by local residents. The surveys are anonymous – you will not be asked for your name or address, and there will be no delays to travel. The surveys will be done over several weeks from mid January – please take part and stress how vital these services are.
Meanwhile, the best way to protect your local bus service is a high level of passengers – please “use it or lose it”.
