Greg Hall, a solicitor at Manners Pimblett in Poynton, hopes to complete 10 x 10K runs to raise funds for Kidscan, which is dedicated to funding children’s cancer research to find safer treatments for children with cancer.
In 2013 childhood cancer was something affecting his wife’s family so, as an avid Stockport County fan, he helped organise a sponsored ‘Hatters Hike 2013’ from Edgeley Park to County’s away match at Macclesfield Town. 18 walkers (and a dog) took part, and they raised more than £1,800 for Kidscan.
Now Greg aims to raise £1,000 on his own by running in events, which so far as included the Poynton 10K and Oulton Park 10K.
He has been fundraising for several years and once spent 43 hours watching James Bond films consecutively for charity.
