Preparations are well underway for the 47th Annual Poynton Charity Bonfire and Fireworks Display which will take place in Poynton Park on Saturday 2nd November. The Round Table have also been busy helping Santa with repairs to his sleigh to make sure he can visit every street in Poynton during December.
The Bonfire and the Santa rounds are Poynton Round Table’s funding raising events. As well as being hugely popular with Poynton residents, they enabled the Round Table to donate over £25,000 to local good causes last year.
The Round Table would like to hear from local community groups and charities who are in need of funds. We have in the past help contribute to works to improve a building, buy equipment or to help provide a local service.
The Round Table will always appreciate any assistance people can provide on Bonfire pre-build weekend, the morning of the big day and more importantly the Sunday tidy up, putting the park back to the state it was beforehand for the enjoyment of the community. We would also like to hear from Groups who would like to assist us with collecting donations on the Santa Round.

Making a positive contribution to the local community is one of the many reasons to join the Round Table. Poynton Round Table is a bunch of guys who get together socially twice a month. As well as our fundraising events, we have an exciting social programme doing things like indoor skydiving, rifle shooting and zorb footballing.
