Nominations are invited for this year’s Civic Service Awards. Just a handful of these are given each year to individuals or groups who have made a “sustained and significant contribution” to our community. There are also separate awards for Youth Civic Service in recognition of having shown “leadership, initiative, enthusiasm and commitment to a worthwhile cause, of benefit to their peer group and/or the wider community”.
The awards are given by the Mayor at her Civic Sunday reception on 21st July. If you know of any deserving candidates for these awards please forward a brief citation in confidence to the Town Clerk, either by e-mail to haf.barlow@poyntontowncouncil.gov.uk or by post to the Town Clerk, Poynton Town Council, Civic Hall, off Park Lane, Poynton SK12 1RB. The deadline for nominations is 4pm on Friday 28th June 2019.
