Cheshire East Council have had to suspend the works on Moggie Lane bridge. United Utilities, the asset owner, have assessed the water trunk main in the area of the collapse and have confirmed that it is not safe to work in the area until an over-ground diversion is installed.
Cheshire East Highways are unable to provide a timescale until the work is carried out by United Utilities. As soon as Poynton Town Council receive more information, it will be made available to residents.
