Lostock Hall held its annual fundraising summer barbecue at the end of June. Crowds were entertained by the jazz band from Poynton High School and Lostock’s own choir and band, as well as a bouncy castle, archery and ponies. The evening began with the official opening of the new Lesley Richardson memorial play area. Lesley was associated with the school for many years as both parent and much loved staff member and donations were given in her memory towards a new play area. The school were thrilled Lesley’s husband and daughter were able to attend. The equipment has already been getting plenty of use from the children this summer. The school would like to take this opportunity to thank local businesses for their support for the barbecue.
Poynton Town Council is collating a list of local businesses who are able to deliver provisions, take-away meals and food to residents.
