Nearly eighty pupils from Lower Park School have undertaken a Bikeability course in order to improve their cycle handling and road safety awareness.
The older children from Year 6 took part in a two day course where they were instructed on how to safely manoeuvre their bikes in real life situations. Having started on some quieter parts, they went on to master their skills along some of the busier roads in Poynton.
Meanwhile, the Year 4 pupils were given the opportunity to complete a two hour course where they practised their skills within the school grounds.
All children met the course requirements whilst learning important new skills.
