The children in Drake Class from St. Paul’s Catholic Primary School recently had some very important visitors, when some local heroes from Poynton’s Police Community Support Officer team (PCSOs), visited the school.  To support the learning happening in class, they explained to the children about the role of a PCSO and how they help people in the Poynton community. They created great excitement with their squad car, allowing the children to explore the interior, before giving them a selection of uniform to try on.  The children were fascinated to have the opportunity to take their own fingerprints, seeing for the first time how their fingerprint was different to everyone else’s. The headteacher of the Marley Road school said, “The children thoroughly enjoyed this fantastic opportunity and we are very grateful to our PCSOs for providing this for us.”
