At Vernon Primary School, the children in Year 2 have been embarking on a series of WILD adventures! This term the children have been exploring Africa and all it has to offer through the exciting topic ‘Hakuna Matata.’

To celebrate the children’s knowledge and understanding throughout the Spring term, they had a wonderful curriculum day completing a series of activities to summarise their learning, including making African tie-dye cloth, face-painting and listening to a guest speaker.  Thank you to Rachel Hooper for coming into school and transforming the children into their favourite animal using her incredible face-painting skills and to Adrian Sutton for sharing his travels and fascinating experiences of Gulu in Northern Uganda.
