The Hollies Preschool, Poynton, is now home to a newly crafted eco ‘Rotunda Roundhouse’. The circular space aligns with the Hollies ethos of nature-led learning and keeps the children engaged with natural forms and the cycles of nature.

The Hollies will be investing in training staff around the forest school ethos, enabling them to create learner inspired experiences for their children, based on exploration and discovery.

Sarah-Jane Gillmore , Poynton Town Mayor, very kindly joined the staff, children and parents to officially open the new building and announce its name.  The new room is now known as ‘Badger Base’, as voted for by the preschool, breakfast and afterschool club children.

As a Charity in the early years sector funding is increasingly stretched. The Hollies have only been able to make this happen thanks to the amazing fundraising efforts and unfaltering support of the families of Hollies preschool, breakfast, afterschool and holiday club children past and present as well as the wonderful staff.  The Hollies would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who helped them reach this milestone.  Thanks also goes to Lower Park School for its continuing help and support.  All the children will benefit from this fantastic new space and the opportunities that it will bring.
