Cheshire East Cabinet discussed the S19 Flood Investigation Report detailing the floods in Poynton, Bollington, Kettleshulme and Wilmslow at a meeting on the 6th October 2020. The Town Council and Cheshire East ward councillors have significant reservations relating to the report as do the resident’s Flood Action Group. The Town Council and Cheshire East ward councillors made representations to the Cabinet in particular asking for the report to include a detailed action plan with time scales. Despite these reservations and requests the report was accepted by the Cabinet at the meeting.
Cheshire East have agreed to set up a “Task and Finish” Group and the Town Council have requested that it is represented on that group together with a representative from the resident’s Flood Action Group. A response is awaited.
