Award winning dementia day care service Always Active has reopened its doors again to people living in and around Poynton! During lockdown everyone has struggled but this has been a particularly difficult time for people living with dementia and their carers. The service is currently being held 3 days a week at The Club, Park Lane, Poynton. Visitors spend the day participating in a whole host of activities, giving carers a welcome break.
Highly recommended by families, according to one carer, “Mum was diagnosed with dementia 8 years ago and has been going to Always Active for the last couple of years… she absolutely loves going and always has a great time. She always comes home smiling and laughing and saying how lovely everyone is.”
They currently are able to offer support on Wednesdays and Fridays but places are limited to ensure social distancing. If you are caring for a person living with dementia and need care and support this group may be able to help.
