A number of local groups have applied for and have been awarded Community Grants from Poynton Town Council.
The Poynton Heritage Garden working group has been awarded £300 towards the maintenance and upkeep of the
garden. Local volunteers responsible for this project, include representatives from Poynton and District Rotary Club, Poynton In Bloom, Projects 4 Poynton, Poynton Town Council and Poynton Library.
The Friends of Poynton Summerfest group was awarded £2000 towards the costs involved in running the annual event.
