A new purpose-built gymnastics facility has been opened on Poynton Industrial Estate by CC Gymnastics, which has made the move from Poynton High School to the new facility in order to create a dedicated space for the club and its gymnasts to develop.

The long-awaited venture has brought an exciting array of new gymnastics equipment and facilities to the local community, inspiring the next generation of young gymnasts. With the dramatic makeover courtesy of club founder Charlotte Carr – who has self-funded the venture – the club houses new equipment including a coil-sprung floor, bars, beams and a trampoline.

Charlotte says, “We have lots of people to thank who made this adventure possible, from coaches, to parents and family. We simply couldn’t have done it without their ongoing help and support. We are incredibly proud to be continuing the CC Gymnastics legacy and we owe a big thank you to all of our hard working and dedicated volunteers who are helping us to build a greater community.”

With over 250 gymnasts now taking part in regular classes, Charlotte’s energy and determination have meant that her dream of making gymnastics available to all youngsters in the area is finally becoming a reality.
