Over the next few weeks, Poynton in Bloom will again be busy planting many more bulbs at various locations around the village, continuing what was started some five years ago.
The main areas are the large bed along London Road North, the two beds at the entrance to Burton Drive and the grass verge on London Road South on the approach to the village.
The Fountain, the Alms Houses’ railing baskets and containers on Chester Road and School Lane will also be replaced with Winter bedding, this will also include the tubs and planters around the Civic Hall.
This year Poynton in Bloom were privileged to accept the opportunity to plant up the two large beds outside the Civic Hall, which received many favourable comments over the Summer.
