This year’s Poynton Town Assembly will take place at the Civic Hall on Monday 10th April 2017 at 8pm, with refreshments served from 7.30pm. This is not a Town Council meeting, but the annual occasion when Poynton’s electorate are able to raise and discuss local and topical issues, and if agreed by the majority of those present, to put forward and vote on proposals relating to them. The Mayor will preside over the meeting.
The Town Council’s annual report for the civic year 2016/17 will be presented at the Assembly. The Assembly is an opportunity for representatives of our many local voluntary organisations to promote and provide updates on their activities and all are invited.
The Assembly agenda, and the Town Council’s annual report, will be available from Friday 31st March 2017 and paper copies can be had from the Civic Hall or the Town Council’s web-site www.poyntontowncouncil.gov.uk. The record of last year’s Annual Assembly is available on request.
