Poynton’s Conservative councillors – Jos Saunders, Nicky Wylie, Mike Beanland and Mike Sewart – have lobbied Cheshire East about the future of the 391 and 392 bus services. Cheshire East pays a subsidy to the company which operates the service. However, the current supplier is ending their contract, and our councillors are urging Cheshire East to find a new operator and ensure the service continues.
The 391 / 392 buses run north from Macclesfield through Poynton to Stockport, also going via Bollington, Adlington and Hazel Grove. They provide an important lifeline to many residents. Poynton Conservatives will continue to campaign for Cheshire East to support this service.
