Heavy training prior to the competition consisted of eight hours per day for the last two months and five hours daily prior to that, consisting of physical, mental, technical and shooting technique. The physical demands of shooting competitively for eight full days against the Worlds best necessitates a high level of fitness and concentration. The weather was very hot with extremely high humidity on the 40 acre purpose built shooting club venue. Several Teams were sponsored (unlike Team GB) with the main opposition coming from India, Australia, Estonia, USA, and Sweden.

The outcomes of the Championships were: Laura Peatfield: Gold Medal Ladies Forest Field World Champion (defending her World Champion Gold Medal in Sweden 2013), Gold Medal World Ladies 3D World Champion, and 4 British Records. Graeme Peatfield: Gold Medal 3D World Champion, 3 Silver World Medals in Target, Matchplay and Forest Field Rounds, 5 British Records plus one ratified European and British Record just prior to the World Champs. Laura and Graemes final positions at this World Championship go a long way towards selection for the 2017 World Championships in Adelaide, Australia.
