Poynton Local History Society have produced a new book entitled, ‘Poynton Soldiers of the Great War 1914-1919’, containing details of the 33 Soldiers named on the Poynton War Memorial together with information on 150 Soldiers who fought in WW1 and survived. The book, priced at £7.50, is available at Poynton Library and Mates DIY and Royal British Legion.
