Students at Poynton High School are set to benefit from a brand new lift at the school.   The new modern lift was funded by Cheshire East Local Authority and was installed at the same time as a new, improved Reception area was built.  Now installed and operational  the first to use it was Year 11 student Alex Parker who declared the new facility a huge success. Previously, students with mobility issues would have to go outside to access the upper levels of the school.

“The school was built at a time when accessibility was not top of the priority list and that’s something we’ve long been battling to rectify. We are delighted with our new lift and the benefits it will have for students and staff with mobility issues.” said David Waugh, Head Teacher at Poynton High School.
