During lockdown the members of Carls PT Hut have been raising money for local causes while keeping fit and in touch with each other from home.

All of the bespoke spin bikes were distributed to peoples homes and times were agreed and music selected. Technology has been employed to connect everyone and away they went!

During April daily remote spin classes run by Carl and Debbie and the Grand National Sweepstake run raised money for East Cheshire Hospice.

In May it was decided that the Poynton Golden Memories Dementia support group would be the beneficiary of the spinners efforts.
While the spinners peddled away a Zoom Quiz was organised and 20 or so teams spent an evening exercising their brain cells.

To conclude the fund-raising a raffle was suggested. Local businesses rallied around, prizes were obtained from ZigZag, the Butchers Block, Tom Yam, Poynton Pet Shop, The Bubbly Wine Co, Morrisons, Bown Enterprises and Puma Teamwear as well as soe local individuals.
Zoom was again employed to witness the draw and the lucky winners were revealed.

In total £1970 was raised mainly from local people for local people, truly a team effort.

Carls PT Hut would like to thank everybody that has been involved in the fund raising.
