The Government has now issued guidance on re-opening play areas. At this time the Council is unable to comply with the government guidance around the frequent cleaning of high traffic touchpoints.

The Town Council has carried out a risk assessment and sought advice from its insurance company regarding re-opening Hockley and Brecon Parks and it is with regret that we are unable to open the parks at this time.

Council’s are currently lobbying Government to introduce guidance which is practical and workable so that playgrounds can be re-opened. We continue to monitor all guidance and will re-open as soon as we are able. Information on Cheshire East Parks (Barnaby, Deva, Mount Vernon) can be found here

Community centres can open from Monday but groups of more than two households are still prevented from meeting indoors.

The Civic Hall will be re-opening on Monday for information and we hope to open to groups as soon as the government allows. Town Council hours are Monday-Friday 10.00am-4.00pm and Saturday 9.00am-12noon.
