Poynton Town Council’s ‘Bee a Poynton Pollinator Project’ has received an amazing £1,000 boost from Waitrose Poynton’s ‘Give a Little Love’ campaign. Leah Terry, Waitrose Poynton’s Give a Little Love Ambassador presented a cheque to Poynton Town Mayor Cllr Lee Podmore, Cllr Simon Lees, Sharon Duke, Communities Co-ordinator and Chris Oakes, Operations Manager.
The planting around the Civic Hall is just the start of a campaign which not only looks fantastic but also raises awareness about the importance of providing plants beneficial for pollinators.
