Recently, fourteen 200 litre blue plastic drums have been dumped in Park Lane stream as it approaches its culvert with Middlewood Road / Anson Road. Thanks to a call from a member of the community, Poynton Town Council have removed them from the stream, avoiding blockages downstream and other damage. Labels suggest that the barrels are linked to the commercial car cleaning industry.
Cheshire East are investigating the offence of fly tipping and anybody with any information can either contact Poynton Town Council or Cheshire East Council – ref job number 3131147.
