Maggie Bruce, the Lady Captain of Davenport Golf Club and over one hundred ladies, in the presence of Poynton’s Mayor Councillor Sarah-Jane Gilmore, attended a fashion show at the golf club recently in aid of the charity ‘When you wish upon a star’.
The Charity has a simple mission, to grant the Wishes of children living with a life threatening illness and allows the family to put their child’s illness on hold as they have fun and create precious memories.
The fashion group ‘Fizz’ with branches in Wilmslow, Hyde, Ashton under Lyne and Shaw provided all the clothes and accessories which were presented by Maureen Jackson a partner in the business and her Team.
The evening was an outstanding success and the charity benefited to the tune of £1,500.
