Poynton students recently took part in their annual House Fishing Competition at Goose Green Farm in Mottram St Andrew. . The competition was sponsored by former student James Greehalgh who now runs Hazel Grove Angling Centre and who kindly donated several great prizes for the first three students.
After a wonderful day of fishing the winners were announced- 1st Leon Gribbon, 2nd place went to Olly Chadwick and 3rd was Harry Stanton. Team results placed Vernon House in 1st position followed by Legh, Newton and Davenport.
“The day was a great success, bringing students and staff together for a friendly and fun match” said Keith Wooding, House Co-Ordinator at the School.
