East Cheshire Hospice ran its annual Will Week in October to coincide with Hospice Care Week. During Will Week three Poynton firms waived their fee to write standard wills and the Hospice could be supported with a donation
Take up for this service was good although there was still some availability. We are grateful to the solicitors who participated for giving their time free and to everyone who attended their appointment and helped the Hospice in this way.
Over 80% of funding has to be found from voluntary contributions to run the Hospice which is around £6,700 each and every day. Supporting Will Week helps us to continue providing our special care. So far this financial year we have looked after 14 Poynton residents and their families.
Some supporters who took part in Will Week not only made a monetary contribution for this service, but also left a gift in their will. We would be delighted to hear from anyone who has done this to thank them personally as their generosity will ensure that the Hospice is here to care for patients in future years.
