On 4th July Poynton & District Rotary Club held a  curry night in aid of End Polio Now at the Purple Pakora, Poynton.  Over 40 people attendedincluding some from clubs in the surrounding area.

A fantastic £368  was raised from the night and with Bill Gates generous commitment to double the fundraising over  £1000 will have been reached. This will enable some 2,500 immunisations against Polio.

For over 30 years, Rotary and its members have been committed to fighting to eradicate polio across the world. The amount of polio-endemic countries has dropped from 125 to just three, with over 2.5 billion children receiving vaccinations thanks to the help of Rotary.
