The Captaincies of Davenport Golf Club changed recently at the Club’s Annual General meeting when Peter Fidler and Di Illingworth handed over their responsibilities to the new Captains Don Sutherland and Christine Lawther.
Peter Fidler, the immediate past Captain, also received his traditional gift from the new Captain Don Sutherland.
The new Captains also announced that their chosen charity for 2018 will be Multiple Sclerosis – Macclesfield.
As well as supporting this excellent cause the Captains will make it a priority during 2018 to welcome as many new members of any age and experience to Davenport Golf Club.
They both will be happy to meet anyone interested in joining the Club.
