After careful consideration the Friends of Poynton Summerfest have reluctantly decided to postpone this year’s event, originally scheduled for Sunday 12th July.
There remains a great deal of uncertainty about the effects and duration of the Covid-19 epidemic, and about any future constraints on staging large-scale events of this kind. In the circumstances the Friends took the difficult decision to cease all current planning for this year’s Fest, and will now look to find a suitable July date for the 2021 event. They wish to apologise to all those affected, including their regular stallholders and vendors, and in particular to the many residents and visitors who look forward to this popular community event, and who have attended in such large numbers since its inception.
