At the recent Macclesfield and Congleton District Cubs quiz night, it was five cubs from 3rd Poynton (who meet at Deva Field scout hut on Monday evenings) that came out on top.
With 12 teams battling it out from around the district, the ‘Kenchucky Fried Chicken Boys’ came top of the pack. Questions ranged from naming the Disney film from its music; recognising the Mr Men; and knowing facts about countries around the world. It was a close run thing with everyone enjoying the evening – just one of the many activities that cubs get up to through the year.
The evening also saw their pack leader Judy Bartlett get a special award marking her 25 year’s service to the Cubs.
