World War II veteran Lin Haley celebrated her 100th birthday with parties, gifts and cards, including one from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth. Lin who served as a member of the ATS during the war, enjoyed a party at her social group Always Active, surrounded by friends. Poynton Mayor, Lee Podmore went along to wish Lin a very happy birthday on behalf of the town. Lin enjoyed a day of food, music and festivities at Poynton Working Mens Club, where she is a weekly attendee at Always Active.
